Until now there has been no fixed curriculum for teaching gendered innovations in a systematic way organized on one platform for industry representatives and innovation experts. In order to fill this gap, the nexus Institute in cooperation with TU Berlin developed the executive program in Gendered Innovations with a flexible curriculum for those who work so that they can apply the learnings to their industries. The program targets managers, product and UX designers, innovators, start up founders, scientific and academic researchers, and developers. The curriculum has been piloted with business and engineering students.

Our executive program is divided into two parts. First, we offer a fixed asynchronous course in an online format which consists of three two-hour modules. Through case studies, content, and videos, participants learn about the theoretical background of the concept as well as core methods for adapting GI to their organizational context and outcomes. In between learnings, there will be continuous practice for self-reflection and implementation. Secondly, we offer an optional and separately bookable synchronous course which offers participants the opportunity to apply the concept in depth during two consecutive half-day sessions in persona or online. Through interactive design workshops, participants develop their own project ideas and transform their knowledge into reality. Participants will also have the opportunity to pitch and discuss their projects and receive feedback. These two sessions provides participants with real-life practice of taking GI from ideation to solution and promoting the benefits of GI throughout their organization.
